The Prodigy Live @ Glastonbury 2009

In my opinion these guys are unquestionably the best musical act to come out of the UK in my life time. Certainly the best dance act the world has ever seen, and arguably the most consistent performers in modern day concert format.

Started in 1990 The Prodigy have release three albums that have opened at number 1 in the charts, sold over 16 million records and have completed at least three sell out tours of the UK together with countless other performances across the globe.

Even now, nearly twenty years since their inception, they are playing every festival in the UK this summer, and will no doubt do each with considerable style. Never disappointing and always remarkable. Liam has continued to deliver music which is both of the moment and cutting edge, re-inventing our generations perception of a good time and leading the way for others to follow.

In recent years bands such as Pendulum have come close to capturing what it is that makes The Prodigy unique, but in my opinion are still a way off from mimicking the sheer inventiveness and absolute quality these boys produce every time.

This performance is a classic, illustrating the awesome power they wield. Big stage, big crowd, big noise. Simply brilliant.

14. O Pato (feat. Kool Kojak & DJ Bãboa)
15. Samba Soul (feat. Del Tha Funkee Homosapien & DJ Qbert)
16. The Mayor (feat. The Cool Kids, Ghostface Killah, DJ AM & Scarface)
17. N.A.S.A. Anthem

Interesting one this, a highly experimental album, the premise being a mix of North American and South American artists. A quick look at the artists featuring is enough to justify a listen. Ok Teena says its been out for ages, but I haven't heard it.

It's got some Rap tracks, some Hip-Hop, some a bit Turntablist, and a Latin feel throughout. Tracks the stand out include, Soul Samda with Del, There's a Party with Charli 2na, N.A.S.A. feat Method Man and The People Tree with the main man Charli 2na. But your not going to like all of them, have a dig.
